Six-year-old Manorville girl accidentally killed by family dog
A 6-year-old girl was accidentally killed by the family's Golden Retriever in Manorville Tuesday.
Police say Kaitlyn Hassard was playing in her back yard with the family?s 18-month-old dog, Jesse. The dog pulled on Kaitlyn?s scarf and accidentally strangled the girl.
The dog is currently at the Brookhaven Animal Shelter. There is no word on the fate of the dog.
