Audit reveals several flaws in Nassau's Police Ambulance Bureau
An audit of the Nassau County Police Ambulance Bureau reveals serious flaws in the department.
The department handles more than 60 percent of the county?s emergency medical calls. The Nassau comptroller?s audit found serious deficiencies in the department?s record keeping, supplies, technology, training and supervision.
The comptroller adds the department doesn?t maintain statistics that would allow for tracking response times.
