Copiague High School goes into partial lockdown after slashing

Copiague High School went into a partial lockdown after a student was attacked in the hallway Friday morning.

Police say two students were engaged in an argument when one took a box cutter from his pocket and slashed the other on his face and hand. Witnesses reported seeing blood everywhere. Students were taken to the cafeteria while police surrounded the school.

The suspect has been suspended, but not arrested since he has not yet been found by police. The victim, a 10th grader, was treated at Good Samaritan Hospital and received stitches on his face and hand.
