N. Bellport boy almost fully recovered a year after SUV ran him over
A North Bellport boy who nearly died a year ago after being run over by a SUV has almost fully recovered from his injuries.
Bobby Palange, now 3 years old, suffered a shattered skull when his father accidentally backed over him in the family?s SUV. Palange was rushed to Brookhaven Hospital, where he was stabilized before being transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for a three-hour operation. He then faced a month of physical rehabilitation.
Bobby's mother, Kim, says the only signs of his accident are a scar and weak vision in his right eye. Kim says she thought she was lucky to have him alive and never dreamed he would totally recover.
