Police investigate bank robbery and carjacking in Kings Park

Suffolk police are investigating a bank robbery and carjacking in Kings Park that may have been committed by the same man.

Police say the suspect first robbed a Bank of America and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. Authorities believe the same man then carjacked a BMW a short distance from the crime scene and drove to Syosset. The driver of the BMW reported the carjacking at an Exxon station on Jericho Turnpike.

Police ask anyone with information to call Suffolk Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
