Police search for teens after beating
Police are searching for a group of teens after a 30-year-old man was assaulted Sunday morning in Valley Stream.
Police say the man went outside his home to move his car from the street to the driveway when a group of teens began assaulting him. Although the victim initially refused medical treatment, he checked himself into South Nassau Community Hospital where he is in critical condition. The victim's mother says she called 911 from her cell phone at the time of the incident, but the call was routed to the NYPD and lost. Nassau police say they were unable to reach the woman on her cell phone.
Police say the attackers are black teenagers between the ages of 15 and 17. Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
