Cops: Valley Stream attack may be a hate crime

Police say an attack that left a Valley Stream man in critical condition may have been racially motivated.
According to police, the man was beaten by up to a dozen teens Sunday. The victim is hospitalized with a concussion and a broken eye socket.
Police are looking into whether the incident was a hate crime since the teens are black and the victim is white.
Two 18-year-olds from Valley Stream have been arrested. Domineek Washington and Jimmy Blaise are charged with gang assault. Police are still searching for at least 10 other teens believed to be involved.
