Brentwood teen killed in car crash

A 15-year-old Brentwood boy is dead after police say the car driven by his brother crashed into a tree and a parked vehicle.

Police say 16-year-old Benjamin Claudio picked up his brother, Peter, from summer school Tuesday. Investigators say Benjamin shouldn?t have been driving since he only had a junior license, but his family says he was allowed to drive on his own with the license.

Some witnesses say he crashed after swerving to avoid children crossing the street, while others say drag racing was involved. Benjamin Claudio is in critical, but stable condition. His family says he doesn?t know his brother was killed in the crash.
