Selden man gets 35 years for sexual abuse

? A Selden man convicted of sexually abusing three young girls was sentenced to 35 years in prison Thursday.

In addition to finding out his sentence, Thomas Green heard from one of his victims in the Riverhead courtroom. The now-teenage girl told Green, 62, that he has destroyed her mentally and physically.

The district attorney originally asked for the maximum of 47 years in prison, but says she is content with the sentence and that justice has been served. Green?s lawyer maintains his client is innocent and says he will file a motion to vacate the conviction.
