Teen struck by hit-and-run driver in Lynbrook

Police are on the hunt Thursday for the hit-and-run driver who plowed down a teen riding her bike and left her bleeding on the side of a Lynbrook road.

Nicolette Fasolakis, 14, escaped with her life, but is suffering from a torn ligament in her ankle and an injury to her big toe that may require reconstructive surgery.

Fasolakis says the accident happened around 9 a.m. Wednesday when she was riding her bike near the Lynbrook train station. She says a car came up behind her traveling the wrong way on a one-way street.

Lynbrook police are asking anyone with information to call them at (516) 599-3300.
