Three Suffolk men charged in two murders were ordered held without bail Friday.
Edwin Ortiz, 19, of Brentwood, is charged with killing 24-year-old Dexter Acheampong in May. Acheampong?s body was found in a Central Islip driveway.
Authorities say 18-year-old Alexander Aguliar, Ortiz, and 20-year-old Jose Amaya also fatally stabbed Edgar Villalobos in Brentwood. Police say the three are MS-13 gang members. Prosecutors say Villalobos told the trio he too was a member, but they didn?t believe him so they killed him.
Aguilar is also accused of shooting a 13-year-old at a Brentwood park. Police say Aguilar and Amaya thought a group of boys were rival gang members. The victim remains in the hospital.
