Police bust heroin operation in Port Jeff Station

The crack down on heroin in Suffolk County has led to another arrest Monday.
Prosecutors say Alex Vavas was running a nine-person heroin ring out of a Port Jefferson Station home and was raking in $13,000 a week. Suffolk District Attorney Thomas Spota said in one week police observed 50 people going in and out of the house.
Michael Pizzuto, who also lived in the house, insists that people in the house were only using not selling.
A total of 110 people have been arrested on heroin charges since Suffolk initiated its task force in March.
