Robbers terrorize woman, ransack home

Police are searching for two suspects who they say terrorized a woman and burglarized her Elmont home Wednesday.

According to authorities, the burglars snuck into the house on Madison Street through a back door. One of the intruders was armed, police say.

The robbers then bound the woman, who lives at the house, and covered her head with a sheet. They then proceeded to ransack the bedroom and steal an undisclosed amount of cash and jewelry from a safe.
