Roof of Great Neck building partially collapses

? Police say a roof partially collapsed Thursday at an apartment complex located at 221 Middle Neck Rd. in Great Neck.

There were residents in the building at the time, but no one was injured. The incident forced the closure of Middle Neck Road between Clover Drive and Allenwood Road in both directions.

The Red Cross says residents of at least six apartments are not being allowed back in their homes and one other building may have to be evacuated.

Engineers are on the scene trying to figure out how the roof collapsed.
