Cops: 3 found dead in burning home were shot
Police say a fire at a Central Islip home was purposely set Tuesday morning to cover up three murders.
Officials say the blaze broke out around 5:30 a.m. at 47 Hickory St. Authorities say two women and a man were found in the same room on the first floor of the home with bullet wounds in their heads.
Authorities have identified two of the victims as Katrice Daniels, 31, a resident of the home, and 19-year-old Louis Calixto, who did not live in the home. The third victim has not yet been identified.
Two young children were found outside the home and taken to the hospital as a precaution. They are in the custody of children?s services.
