Woman sues over fake LIRR ticket allegation

A Jericho woman is suing the Long Island Railroad for $500,000 after she was falsely accused of having a fake ticket and detained for hours last week.
Lara Tepper says she tried to convince the conductors that she had used the 10-trip ticket before. Tepper says she was then taken to Penn Station, where she was frisked and interrogated in a cell.
It was determined the ticket was not counterfeit, but was printed on old paper.
LIRR said in a statement, ?We regret the unfortunate incident that led to the detention of Ms. Tepper. As soon as it was determined that her ticket was not a forgery, she was released from police custody."
