Marine from Farmingdale laid to rest

Family and friends gathered at St. Killen's Roman Catholic Church in Farmingdale Saturday to say their final farewells to a Marine who was killed in Afghanistan last week.

The crowd outside the church fell silent as the body of 22-year-old Lance Corp. James Argentine was carried out by his comrades.

Argentine joined the Marines in 2006 in wake of the events of Sept. 11. He was scheduled to return home in November after completing his second tour of duty.
