Cameras installed in lifeguard changing area

Surveillance cameras have been installed in a lifeguard changing area at the Martin Luther Park in Freeport, and lifeguards there are furious.

The guards feel they are being violated. However, Freeport Village Mayor Andrew Hardwick says the room they are using to change is actually an office. He adds that they should have been using the designated changing area by the bathrooms. Guards argue the office has lockers inside, like a changing room would.

Mayor Hardwick says the cameras were installed to watch over security equipment in the room. The lifeguards say they won't be changing there anymore.
