Long Island home prices in upward swing

Homes prices on Long Island are on the rise according to the latest statistics.
The Multiple Listing Service of Long Island says the median price of a Long Island home was $350,000 in April and reached $375,000 in July.
Real estate broker Michael Ardolino says the numbers are a step toward getting out of the housing slump. However, he says things like rising unemployment and foreclosures could complicate the upturn.
Setauket home seller Rose Meyers says she wouldn?t know prices are going up based on her experience. She says she?s lowered her asking price $7,000 and still hasn?t gotten any bites.
