3 bouncers stabbed at Farmingville bar

Police say three bouncers at a Farmingville bar were stabbed over a $5 cover charge Sunday.
Cops say the incident occurred at around 2:30 a.m. outside the Las Tejas Bar on Portion Road.
Authorities say a man refused to pay the cover charge and was turned away. According to police, the man and four of his friends then attacked the bouncers with knives.
Two of the bouncers were treated for non-life threatening stab wounds. The third bouncer sustained a knife wound above his heart and is being treated at Stony Brook University Hospital.
Cops say the five men, in their early 20s, fled the scene in a red van. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
