LIers say ad depicting 9/11 is offensive

Some Long Island residents were outraged to see an ad depicting planes headed for the World Trade Center won a contest hosted by a Manhattan firm.
The print advertisement, which was designed for the World Wildlife Fund by a Brazilian advertising agency last year, also has a message that says, "The tsunami killed 100 times more people than 9/11. The planet is brutally powerful. Respect it. Preserve it."
The World Wildlife Fund rejected the ad and didn't run it, but it hit the Internet after winning the One Club contest. John Feal, who was injured on Sept. 11, says the ad is offensive and the World Wildlife Fund should apologize.
