Police: Drunk nun took church car for spin
? Police say a nun was arrested Tuesday night and charged with aggravated DWI after she drove her car onto the front lawn of a home and hit a tree.
Police say 68-year-old Sister Lauren Hanley, of the St. Francis de Chantal Church in Wantagh, had more then twice the legal limit of alcohol in her system. They also say she had just left the church when she crashed. According to witnesses, Hanley almost mowed down a group of children playing in front of their house.
Police say an officer found a plastic bottle in the car that contained liquid and smelled like alcohol.
Hanley was released without bail.
