Residents peeved at red light cameras
Some drivers in Nassau say red light cameras in the county have become a major nuisance.
Barbara Poggio says her family has gotten four violations so far at the intersection of Central and Stewart avenues in Bethpage. Marion Pensabene says she's also had trouble at the intersection and doesn't deserve a ticket she got in August. Pensabene says she got a right-turn violation.
Some legislators, such as David Denenberg (D-Merrick), say they didn't know right-turn violations were included in the law, despite very specific questions he says he asked before voting yes.
