Long Island bids farewell to summer
Long Islanders are saying goodbye to summer on Labor Day, considered by many to be the unofficial end of the season.News 12 Long Island meteorologist Bill Korbel says the day will be a mix of sun and clouds with temperatures between 70-74 degrees. Nevertheless, hundreds flocked to the shores to catch one last beach day this summer.
The American Airpower Museum at Republic Airport is holding festivities to mark Labor Day. Various World War II vehicles and memorabilia on are display. Long Islanders can also go for a ride in aircraft for a D-Day flight experience. American Airpower Museum
