A Valley Stream man pleaded guilty Monday to a slew of drunken driving-related charges for the November crash that killed 21-year-old Jason Shein.
Persi Esquivel, 47, was charged with DWI and aggravated vehicular homicide for the crash in Farmingdale. Esquivel was already on probation for drunken driving and had a suspended license at the time of the crash.
Shein's parents say they were cheated out of seeing justice served.
"Throw away the key, because I'm going to have to feel this pain 'til the day I die," says his mother, Betsy Shein.
