Roosevelt asbestos removal sparks concerns

Parents and students in Roosevelt say they?re concerned an asbestos removal and roofing project at the high school may be dangerous to kids? health.
Roosevelt?s superintendent of schools told News 12 days ago the project was going smoothly but never mentioned the state issued a report citing serious safety violations.
The report said ?a plume of white dust was rising along the wall in the asbestos work area as two handlers used chipping guns to remove the asbestos material along the wall.?
The New York State Department of Labor says it recently received more complaints about the work so it launched another investigation. The department said Wednesday no evidence of asbestos has been found.
