LI Ground Zero worker loses cancer battle
Another Long Island resident who worked to clean up Ground Zero after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks has died.
New York City Police Officer Robert Grossman, of Rocky Point, died after a battle with brain cancer Friday. Grossman was 41.
Doctors discovered the brain tumor three years ago. Grossman?s doctor and family say they blame the toxic fumes from the World Trade Center site.
Grossman was buried Monday at Washington Memorial Park in Mount Sinai.
