One person is dead and another is seriously injured after a shooting in Freeport.
Police say they found the victims at Union Street and Independence Avenue Wednesday night. Authorities say an 18-year-old man, Jimel Hernandez, was killed in the shooting.
Hernandez's mother, Angela Wallace, thinks the shooting is retaliation for a slaying one of her other sons was convicted for.
The second shooting victim, a man in his 20s, is listed in stable condition.
Police say it?s too early to determine a motive. They?re asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
