Clerk snatches shotgun from reeling robbers

A gas station clerk stared down the business end of a shotgun, but still managed to scare off two would-be robbers in Elmont Wednesday night.

Police say two men walked into the USA Gas Station on Meacham Avenue just before midnight and held up clerk Moustafa Yakupogau. One of the men pulled out a shotgun and pointed it at Yakupogau?s face, but got more than he bargained for when the clerk grabbed the gun and chased after them.

The two robbers then fled the scene, without any money.
