Bellmore neighbors not feeling the crave
Bellmore residents say a White Castle in the neighborhood would do more harm than good, despite any late-night cravings they may have.
The 24-hour fast food joint is set to go up on the corner of Sunrise Highway and St. Marks Avenue, about 100 yards from the first house on the block.
Neighbors say they?re concerned the restaurant will increase traffic and noise. They?ve hired a lawyer to try to block the effort.
Tom Bray, of White Castle, says the company may be willing to take measures to cut down traffic.
The company needs the green light from the town?s zoning board, which meets Nov. 18.
