Gas station clerk killed in Roslyn Heights

Relatives of a gas station clerk stabbed to death in Roslyn Heights over the weekend say their loved one was targeted.

Authorities say the fatal stabbing took place Saturday night at a Gulf station on Powerhouse Road around 11 p.m.

Jony Acosta, 26, of Albertson, died Tuesday from his injuries.

Police say they?re examining surveillance video. Acosta?s cousin, meanwhile, says she saw the video and that the killer didn?t say anything to Acosta before stabbing him. ?There was no exchange of words,? Stace Acosta says. ?It was just in and out.?

The owner of the gas station also suspects the stabbing was personal because nothing was stolen.
