Overturned truck goes up in flames on LIE

Eastbound lanes of the Long Island Expressway at exit 43 are reopened after an overturned tractor-trailer burst into flames early Thursday.
According to Nassau Sgt. Dan Portman, the truck swerved from the center to the right lane for some reason, fell over onto an SUV, flipped twice and then caught fire. The driver was burned over 80 percent of his body, Portman says. The SUV driver was also injured.
The truck was carrying groceries and fresh produce. Police don?t know exactly why the truck driver swerved in the first place, but say he might have been cut off.
