Nassau has free H1N1 shots for pregnant women

Hundreds of expectant moms in Nassau County have the opportunity to get the H1N1 vaccine Friday, something many say they?ve been trying to do for weeks.

Free shots will be offered to all pregnant women at the Nassau County Health Department in Uniondale between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. The department says it received about 800 units of the vaccine.

Health officials at all levels strongly urge all pregnant women to get vaccinated. Thirteen percent of the national swine flu deaths this year were of women who were pregnant.
