State sues Smithtown car dealer over pricing

New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo has filed suit against a Smithtown auto dealership he says is defrauding customers.

According to the attorney general?s office, Smithtown Nissan has been fraudulently altering contract prices after agreeing to a different price and terms with the customer. The dealership is also accused of adding undisclosed extended warranties, service contracts, options and fees without consent.

A dealership manager who only identified himself to News 12 as ?Craig? said, ?We don't feel the allegations are true.?

Cuomo sued after dozens of customers complained they were hit with prices much higher than they agreed to.
