Retailers roll out Black Friday safety changes

Retailers are taking extra safety measures for Black Friday after a stampede at a Valley Stream Wal-Mart resulted in a man?s death last year.

The Valley Stream Wal-Mart will stay open around the clock starting Thanksgiving night. Other stores like Target are handing out store maps to help shoppers navigate.

Nassau County Police Chief Robert Turk says stores must have more employees out helping customers on the floor to alleviate shopper frustration.

Police patrols will also be beefed up around big stores where long lines are expected.

Despite all the precautions, some say they?ll stay in and wait for Cyber Monday.
