Cops: 2 children left alone with guns, drugs

Police say two children were left alone at a Patchogue home with guns and drugs within their reach Wednesday.

Authorities arrested the children's mother and two men who they say live at 20-A Lakeland Ave. Police say they found two boys, ages 4 and 5, at the home alone with shotguns, rifles and cocaine.

Police say they discovered the children after they saw 23-year-old Justin Giese walking suspiciously near the home. Giese was supposed to be supervising the children. Giese and another man, 22-year-old Reginald Lambre, were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a child.

The boys' mother, 26-year-old Christina Gomez, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child. They will be arraigned Thursday.
