Levittown man charged with teen's rape

A 23-year-old Levittown man is charged with rape and endangering the welfare of a child for allegedly engaging in a sexual relationship with an underage girl.

Police say Fahad Sultan traveled nearly six hours upstate to have sex with a teen he met online. The two allegedly spent two days in July at a Tupper Lake hotel. According to authorities, the girl?s parents reported her missing during that time. She reported the alleged rape after she was confronted about the situation.

State police say it took them months to gather the electronic evidence they needed against Sultan.

Sultan was arraigned upstate and had bail set at $50,000.
