Massapequa doc accused of selling oxycodone

A doctor practicing in Massapequa is facing charges for allegedly selling prescription drugs out of his office over the past several months.

Dr. Saji Francis, 49, was arrested Tuesday at his office. He is accused of selling oxycodone at least nine different times. Police say they have undercover video of him in the act.

Francis? office is next to Massapequa High School and though officials say he?s been known to sell to young patients, they don?t yet know if any were students.

Police say they first heard Francis? name on wiretaps put into place after the heroin overdose death of 18-year-old Natalie Ciappa last year.
