February-like freeze sweeps across LI

? It?s not officially winter yet, but it sure felt like Long Island was immersed in the February freeze Friday.

Residents heading out bundled up trying to make it from the car to indoors as quickly as possible.

Temperatures only reached the high 20s to the low 30s throughout the day. However, the wind chill made it feel like the teens.

Overnight, residents can expect freezing temps in the teens and low 20s.
