Farmingville man guilty in bouncer's death

A jury found Anthony Oddone guilty of first-degree manslaughter Monday in the 2008 death of Suffolk corrections officer Andrew Reister.

Prosecutors argued Oddone fatally choked Reister, who was moonlighting as a bouncer at a Southampton pub, in August 2008 during a confrontation. Oddone?s lawyer said his client acted in self defense.

The jury deliberated for nine days and requested the charges against Oddone be read back several times.

Oddone could be sentenced to up to 25 years in prison.
