Hofstra delays commencement due to snow
Hofstra University announced Saturday that it postponed its midyear commencement ceremony due to the snowstorm.
Seven hundred undergraduate, graduate and law students who were originally scheduled to receive their diplomas Sunday will now have to wait until 11:30 a.m. Monday.
The ceremony will be held at the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex on the Hempstead campus.
In a statement, the university also said students who cannot attend the Monday ceremony will have the option to participate in the May 2010 commencement events.
