Payroll glitch leaves NUMC workers in the lurch

Employees at Nassau University Medical Center say a payroll glitch left them high and dry at the time of year when their paychecks mean the most.

Daniel Dermody, whose wife is a registered nurse at NUMC, says hospital employees with direct deposit were supposed to see funds in their accounts on Christmas Eve. However, that didn?t happen.

The hospital admits there was a problem and says it's been resolved. NUMC tells News 12 employees who bank with Chase would get their money Thursday and workers who use other banks received handwritten checks.

Dermody, of Mt. Sinai, says neither his wife nor anyone the couple knows received the checks.
