Cops: Teen injured in dad's high-speed chase

Police say a teenager was injured in Ronkonkoma when his father crashed into a tree following a high-speed chase.

Cops say they received a call Monday night from a woman who said her ex-boyfriend was following her on the LIE. Officials say after they told the woman to pull over at a gas station, suspect Edward Langley tried to flee. Langley ultimately hit a tree after losing control of his car, according to investigators.

Police say Langley's 14-year-old son is stable, but suffered serious injuries.

Langley is charged with two felonies, three misdemeanors, traffic violations and driving with a suspended license. News 12 has also confirmed Langley has a long criminal record.
