Rep. King presses for ethnic profiling at airports

Rep. Peter King (R-Seaford) is pushing for ethnic profiling at airports as details continue to surface about the man accused of trying to blow up an American airliner on Christmas.

Authorities say the suspect, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, was on a U.S. terror watch list but was still allowed a visa into the country. King says the Transportation Security Administration?s no-fly and secondary search lists must be re-evaluated and strengthened.

King says he knows ethnic profiling is controversial, but he says it makes sense and is effective.

Nayyar Imam, of the Long Island Muslim Alliance, says ethnic profiling would isolate and anger a community that already feels pressure in America.
