Police: Nicholas Bollar, Gregory Czaplicki, of Glen Cove, arrested in connection to violent home invasion
Police say two arrests have been made in connection with a home invasion in Glen Cove.
News 12 Long Island cameras caught police swarming the North Shore neighborhood Tuesday afternoon.
According to police, multiple suspects broke into a home at 39 Coles St. last night at around 9:45 p.m.
The victim told police that the men had a gun and pistol-whipped him. Police believe the victim was targeted and say the victim was known by the suspects.
The suspects have been identified as 18-year-old Nicholas Bollar and 17-year-old Gregory Czaplicki. Bollar was arrested at his home on McLoughlin Street, two blocks away from the crime scene. Czaplicki was arrested less than a mile away on Harwood Drive.
A third suspect was tracked to Carpenter Street, one block away from the scene. News 12 observed about a dozen officers searching houses, backyards and mailboxes.
A local elementary school operated on a three-hour delay Tuesday morning as the police investigation continued.
Police are searching for at least two suspects. Anyone with information about the home invasion incident is urged to call Glen Cove police at 516-676-1000.
