3 of 6 North Shore beaches remain closed from sewage

Long Island residents planning on hitting the beaches Memorial Day will have to avoid three Nassau beaches that are still closed due to sewage problems.
The Nassau County Health Department says Soundside Beach in Bayville, Roosevelt Beach in Oyster Bay and Laurel Hollow Beach are closed.
The beaches are among six North Shore beaches that the health department closed on Friday.
They say the closures are due to a sewage plant malfunction that discharged waste into Oyster Bay Harbor.
