Mangano moves into executive building

Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano spent Saturday moving into his Mineola headquarters after being sworn in the day before.

"We're blessed with a number of volunteers and dedicated county employees that are here to make sure our computers are running, our phones are working and furniture is put in place," Mangano says.

Mangano's wife and two sons were on hand to help the new executive set up and get organized ahead of his first cabinet meeting Jan. 4.

"Hopefully, my administration is marked by teamwork, enthusiasm, cooperation and understanding," Mangano says.

On Monday, Mangano expects to take on the county's property tax assessment system.
