Paterson's teen son taken to NYPD precinct

(AP) - A law enforcement official says Gov. DavidPaterson's teenage son was taken into police custody after he wascaught rolling dice with boys on a New York City street.

The official says 15-year-old Alex Paterson and another teenwere taken to a Manhattan precinct because of problems with theiridentification.

The law enforcement official spoke to the Associated Press oncondition of anonymity because Paterson's son is a minor.

The official says Paterson had a bank card that did not have hisname on it.

The two were given juvenile reports for loitering and werereleased to their parents.

The governor issued a statement saying his son was taken intocustody and asked for privacy.
