Commack H.S. coach accused of sex abuse

A coach at Commack High School was arrested Tuesday for allegedly sexually abusing a female student.

Police say 26-year-old Bryan Tornee turned himself in after school officials learned of the alleged incident. A 15-year-old girl said Tornee took her to a motel last month and abused her.

News 12 Long Island learned that Tornee was transferred from his position as girls' track coach at Commack High School to coach the boys' team this year. Sources say the change is the result of allegations he had inappropriate relations with girls.

Tornee is also a part-time teacher's assistant in the Locust Valley School District.
