GOP win in Mass. may doom health care reform

(AP) - Republican Party Chairman Michael Steele saysAmericans are breathing "a sigh of relief" after Republican ScottBrown's victory in Tuesday's Massachusetts Senate election. Appearing on ABC's "Good Morning America," Steele celebratedthe fact that Brown, as the 41st Republican in the Senate, couldhelp derail President Barack Obama's health care overhaul. Steele says the Massachusetts election results are a sign thatAmericans want Congress to "slow it down" on health care. He is advising Democrats to "start from scratch and start bylistening to the people." But David Plouffe, who led Obama's 2008 presidential campaign,is rejecting calls to scrap the bill. Plouffe told ABC that theDemocrats have worked out "a good health care plan" that Congressneeds to pass.
